Self-love is the practice of treating yourself with kindness, appreciation, and care, recognizing your inherent worth, and engaging in behaviors that support mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Self-love, or self-compassion, can promote better physical health and has been associated with lower levels of stress. One study found when we practice acts of compassion, we engage more frequently in behaviors that promote our health*. What an incredible finding — acts of self-love have the potential to not only make us feel better, but improve our actual health.
