Issue No. 10: Dimensions of Wellness

Issue No. 10: Dimensions of Wellness

August is National Wellness Month

Wellness is a broad, sometimes overwhelming word, so this week, we’re breaking it down. Our hope is to help you explore wellness in a way that feels aligned with your life, in the season you’re in.

We’ve adopted the Dimensions of Wellness framework to help you reflect more deeply on what holistic wellness means for you. There’s no single way to “do wellness.” Like so much in life, it’s the small moments — moments of clarity, calm, connection, and joy — that contribute to our journey of wellness.

Wellness is just that — a journey, not a destination. It ebbs and flows with life. The key is staying grounded in who you are and what you value. Journaling is one way to stay connected to that foundation. The more you understand yourself, the more confidently you can make choices that support your well-being.

The Eight Dimensions of Wellness

Social: Building and maintaining positive relationships with friends, family, and community

Physical: Caring for your body through nutrition, movement, rest, and healthy routines

Emotional: Understanding, expressing, and processing your emotions

Financial: Creating a balanced and intentional relationship with money

Spiritual: Finding purpose, meaning, or connection to something greater

Environmental: Noticing how your surroundings (home, nature, social spaces) impact your well-being

Intellectual: Staying curious, learning new things, and adopting a growth mindset

Occupational: Engaging in fulfilling work that aligns with your values and life goals
