Today is International Self-Care Day.
We believe self-care is self-love — and self-love is the foundation of accepting ourselves and nurturing our emotional well-being.
A regular self-care practice can also support the health of our relationships. When we care for ourselves, what we give to others isn’t strained or conditional—it’s offered with abundance and joy, because we feel safe, nourished, and whole. Our nervous system is in balance. It’s a positive cycle that allows both our inner world and our relationships to thrive.
Whether today’s pace is slow or fast, give yourself the gift of presence. Here’s a guided way to check in, reflect, and care for your whole self.

Action Items
1. Book a quarterly self-care day or half-day for yourself.
Block the time on your calendar and make it a special event. Yes, self-care should be part of your everyday routine (as we write in the Everyday Positive Journal), but it can also be an event planned with intention. And remember, self-care doesn’t have to cost a thing. A walk outside, mindful breathing, restful sleep, or a screen-free day are all wonderful forms of free self-care. Feel free to get creative!
2. Take a screen-free 10-minute walk and notice your five senses.
Bonus points for hydrating, catching a sunset, or petting a dog.
