Journaling is a form of self-care for many. And it’s never too late to start! Whether you prefer writing stream-of-consciousness style, writing on a specific topic that’s causing you stress or anxiety, or using prompts to get the pen moving, the benefits are plentiful.
According to UW (University of Wisconsin-Madison) Health psychologist Shilagh Mirgain, PhD, “There is a growing body of evidence that demonstrates the beneficial effects of writing. Just 20 minutes at a time over four consecutive days was associated with a decrease in health problems, such as enhancing the immune system functioning.”
In an effort to keep our celebration of National Wellness Month going this August, we are hosting a 7-day journal challenge on our Instagram. Each question below is posted on our Instagram Stories daily. At the end of each day, we post a poll — just respond “yes” to completing the question and you'll be entered into a giveaway for a free Engagement Journal e-book and a free Gold Pen! Easy as that. We hope you find some mental clarity by working through these questions each day this week. You deserve it!
