Issue No. 27: Personal Spring Reset

Today’s topic is something I know I needed, and I have a hunch many of you may be interested as well...something that helped me find a little more clarity and lightness. Something that helped shake off some of what had been weighing me down over the past few months.

I’m talking about conducting a personal spring reset

I wanted to build on our growth mindset work and explore how we can take advantage of this time of change and transition.

There are four steps in my process: pause, listen, plan, and start again.

Read more in the Try It section below or listen to this week’s podcast episode. I encourage you to pause to gain perspective, change your environment for day or an afternoon, ask for help from others, journal thoughts that come up, and make your aligned plan for what’s next.

Here’s to a beautiful season unfolding for you.

 Be well,

Annette Furio

Journal Prompts

  • What patterns, worries, or ideas keep coming up for me right now?

  • Is there one area or dimension of my life where I feel like I could use a “reset”?

  • If I’m honest with myself, what do I feel like I need in this season?

  • What do I want to finally start — or end — this spring that I’ve been putting off?

  • What would “growth” look like for me over the next few weeks or months?

  • What is one small, aligned action I can take to get started today?

Affirmations

When I pause, I make space to listen to myself.

I welcome the opportunity to renew myself, my thoughts, and my energy.

I am open to change in this season.

Complete Your Personal Reset with the 5 P’s: Pause, Presence, Perspective, Place, and Plan

First, start by pausing your usual inputs, even for an hour, to create space. No email, no news notifications, no social.

From there, lean into presence. Allow yourself to get bored so your mind can wander, process, and surface new ideas. Try this for anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. Use the last 10 minutes to journal anything that comes up afterwards. Use the prompts above for ideas.

Next, seek perspective by talking things through with someone you trust and gathering insight outside your own patterns of thinking.

Shift your place. A new environment, even temporarily, can spark fresh energy and clarity.

And finally, plan. Capture what came up for you, do your best to start connecting the dots, and outline a few simple, aligned next steps for the next few months ahead.

No reset button required. Just small, intentional shifts that help you pause, listen, and move forward with clarity. Repeat as needed!
