On Small Wins
This past weekend we had one of our biggest in-person events of the year: the Columbus Book Festival, which draws tens of thousands of people. I love this festival because I can hear real-time stories about what you’re working toward, how you’re journaling, and how I can help meet you where you are.
Today’s theme is inspired by those conversations.
Small wins are the little moments where we can pause and say, “Yes! I did that!” They’re moments that often pass us by because we don’t consider them big enough to celebrate. But what I kept hearing is that we do need to celebrate the small things. These tiny movements in the right direction are what actually move us forward every day.
Sometimes, of course, we have bigger milestones to celebrate. But in our everyday lives, those moments are typically smaller and quieter. I believe they still deserve to be recognized. You deserve to be recognized. Writing down your small wins helps build self-confidence and sparks joy as you acknowledge your accomplishments.
So, my invitation to you today is to celebrate the small wins by simply noticing them or, even better, by writing them down. If you snagged one of our Wins Everyday Mini Journals this weekend, this is your chance to crack it open. For everyone else, keep an eye out when we launch our Everyday Mini Journal collection online later this year.
Be well,

How to Notice Small Wins
Noticing small wins takes a little practice, primarily because we often see these achievements as normal parts of everyday life — not necessarily ones worth celebrating. Here are a few ways to start recognizing them:
1. Shift your mindset.
Recognizing small wins starts with paying attention. As you move through your day, notice the moments that feel good — the task you completed, the challenge you worked through, the decision you’re proud of. Tune into feelings of joy, relief, confidence, pride, or accomplishment. These feelings can often point you toward a win worth celebrating.
2. Make it part of your routine.
Wrap up your day by recalling a small win. It’s a great way to end the day with a sense of positivity and progress.
3. Meet yourself where you are.
Everyone’s version of a small win will be different, and that’s okay. We’re all facing unique challenges and circumstances that shape the rhythms of our daily lives. Your wins are yours to define.
4. Have a conversation.
That being said, having an open conversation someone you trust in your life can spark inspiration. Ask a friend, co-worker, partner, or child for their small wins. We can lift up ourselves by lifting up others.
