Physical, emotional, social, occupational, spiritual, financial, environmental, intellectual
- Write one goal for each area, then answer these questions:
- Does this goal excite or inspire me? Is it just the outcome that excites me, or does the journey excite me as well?
- Is this goal concrete enough that I can actually put action steps on my calendar?
- Do I have the skills needed or does my goal require learning something new?
- Does it align with my value system? Does it align with my vision statement?
- Does this goal excite or inspire me? Is it just the outcome that excites me, or does the journey excite me as well?

Action Items
Create your system for turning your grounded goals into aligned actions using the following steps:
1. Write an exhaustive list of action items that help get you closer to achieving your goal. Doing this will help me reach my goal.
2. Categorize these action items as one-time or ongoing tasks
3. Schedule everything in your calendar. Include locations and invite relevant people. If you don’t know, give it a good guess.
4. Create a habit for each ongoing action item. Start small, schedule it in the calendar, track your progress.
5. Review weekly. What is working? What are you learning? What are you celebrating? Be honest with yourself, start over when you need to, and don’t forget to celebrate your small wins along the way.
